Two brief yet important changes to the app.

Forecasting model improvement

The model was not taking into account factories that were already midway in their process. This caused a very slight inaccuracy (would miss one cycle) but more importantly it cause some factories to stall prematurely in the forecast without a chance to recover. This happened in rare circumstances and normally fixed itself after the current factories have actually stalled in-game. Hopefully this will reduce false-positives,

App version notification

Added a version toast notifier. Many of you have the tendency to keep your browsers open for very long without refreshing, creating a de-sync between the front end and the server.

Other notes

Did some internal cleanup and will be releasing a feature detailing supply and demand soon(tm). I'll also be publishing the algorithms as many other app providers have shown interest to use it in their apps. Stay tuned!

Added two quality-of-life features by popular demand. Thank you to everyone who has given feedback and suggestions!

Auto-sync characters

You can now toggle Auto-sync that will do the same as a Refresh All button. At scale this becomes very server intensive so please consider supporting the app. See the Support page on how youc an do so. I have also left it off by default and it will disable itself after 7 days inactivity. That said:

• Planet data syncs every 10 minutes.

• Assets sync every 30 minutes.

• Skills, corporation and alliance info every day.

Do note that too many competing apps can cause syncs to fail.

With auto-syncing you also don't need to refresh the Planets page should this be open. Normally data is refreshed when you browse to it or change browser tabs. However, I have made it now refresh automatically every 60s if the page is in focus.

Character page improvements

• Made the cards slightly smaller to fit more in a screen.

• Gave the ability to make them compact so more can fit in your screen.

• Added a search, where you can find: ** Character name ** Corporation ** Alliance ** Skill & Skill level

Next up: PI Detailed Page where you can see what each planet needs and each planet produces, plus some summary data. This is a rather large feature so please be patient. Thank you!

The new assets page now has

• Shows all characters data (please let me know how this runs on big portfolios!)

• Smart Search with tokens and wildcards (for wildcards just type in a portion of what you want and hit [tab] on your keyboard). For instance if you have linked your customs offices in the Systems page then in Assets you can search for POCO/Skyhook content by typing in Cust and pressing tab.

• Added totals based on your search to help with logistics.

• You can toggle the table to be paginated or scrollable.

• Table shows Characters, Material, Quantity, Volume, Tier, Location and System.

The planet summary card was only showing planets with ECU's. This old feature is outdated and fixed!

ECU Refactored

A huge thanks to CCP Pinky for sharing the link on how ECU's are calculated in EVE Online. This has improved the accuracy of PIM between the start and end of ECU programs. We were also losing 1 unit per cycle in our forecasts. For those who want to see the calcs, here they are: https://developers.eveonline.com/docs/guides/pi/ . PIM's ECU calcs are now 100% in line with EVE Online \o/

Filters don't warp away

Filters in the Planets sidebar will now stay whether you click on another page or navigate your planets. If you filtered to Lava planets you can now easily click through each. Click the [x] button on the filter bar to clear the search, or click on the x on any chip to clear that specific filter.

• Added tooltips to many cards that explain the what, how, why of the card. These will be updated based on user feedback. If there is anything that is confusing please let me know!

Easier navigation from alert cards

• ECU Alert card: clicking on the character name takes you to that character's planets. At the bottom you can see the ECU stats for all your planets.

• Factory and Overflow cards: clicking on the name/planet takes you to that specific planet's dashboard, where you can view exactly what is going on.

Smaller changes

• Added Markee Dragon links and affiliate code. Thank you Markee!

• On the planet's storage card, renamed "Current" to "Forecasted". It was incorrect before.

• Added some background colours to make the app feel less flat.

• Added statistics on characters and planets being used on the app to the landing page and support page. Nice to see the growth!

• Tiny edits to pages to re-align and reduce whitespace.

Created three main QOL features.

Search in the Planets page

You can now search for characters, planet types or systems on the top of the sidebar. This works with two main features: tokens and text search. A token is simply a completed search, which comes from auto-suggests. Text is incomplete searches that have multiple potential results.

For instance, if you search for Jit, that will match the system Jita and a character named Jity. Both of these will appear in the results. If you choose one, then only the selected one will appear.

In addition, when searching the list of planets and characters will auto-expand, and if you cancel the search or press escape then they will auto-collapse.

Favourite your system

In the Systems page, you can now favourite your system by clicking on the star in the search. The first system in the favourite list will auto-load when you visit this page. To remove from favourites, just untick the star.

There is a known bug when favouriting a silly amount of systems. I'll fix this another time as being silly is its own reward.

Refresh All

You can now refresh all your characters at once in the Characters page. There are limitations with this as it can be compute intensive for my server. When I get donations going I can get a bigger server and remove the time limits. I highly recommend to only do this once you have made all your changes in EVE as the ESI from CCP only refreshes when you visit a planet.

Small bug fixes and formatting changes

Not worth mentioning here.

You can now register and log in using:

• Email

• Google

• [new] Twitch

• [new] Discord

Account Linking

PIM recognizes accounts by email address:

• Same email: If you use the same email across these apps, PIM will see them as one account.
  Example: If your Discord uses your Gmail address, logging in with Google or Discord will show the same PIM account.

• Different email: If you use a different email (e.g., your Twitch is on another email), PIM will see it as a separate account.

Stalled Factory Tooltip

The tooltip shows which materials are already available in the POCO and which ones are in storage so that you can prioritize the right trip and avoid wasted hauling.

When a factory stalls or is about to stall, you now get a clearer and practical breakdown of what materials you have at your disposal and help with logistics. Hover the stalled factory row to see two lists:

Materials to bring

• Shows materials that are needed to run the factories. This will exclude end-of-the-line factories with outputs that are not consumed by other factories.

• Shows any of these materials that you might have in your POCO's. This allows you to use POCO's as additional storage and manage it easier. Keep in mind POCO's can be destroyed, so be careful where you do this. Sidenote: I have not tested this with Orital Skyhooks.

Materials to fetch

Allows you to see the amount of materials to fetch in both quantity of units and volume.

• Shows materials that are currently sitting in storage/launchpads that are not consumed by other factories.

• Shows the same materials produced by the plant that are also in POCO's for situations where you use the POCO as additional storage.

Other POCO Materials

This section simply shows all the other materials you have in the POCO for that planet/character that are not in the "Materials to bring" or "Materials to fetch" sections.

POCO linking refactored

Linking a POCO to a planet is now more reliable and less likely to disappear after character updates. You still link POCOs the same way on the Systems page. Once a link is set it stays and syncs so your Assets page keeps showing the right planet name and location.

Linking allows the app to know where your assets are for the assets page and the newly built Stalled Factories tooltip.

Note: I have not done this for Orbital Skyhooks yet. Note: The links only apply to you and only have to be done once. The links are shared with all your characters.

Fixed an issue when refreshing your character and the data in the Planets page was stale, requiring an F5 to re-fetch the data. Now you can refresh a character and see the results on the Planets page immediately once it is complete. Note: you still need to wait for the job to complete (usually 1-4 seconds).
